The Problem

Wholesale buying involves more than browsing products and placing an order. Buyers and suppliers often have to manage quotes, bulk pricing, orders, and logistics across disconnected workflows.

Wholeable asked for a unified B2B marketplace that could bring these processes together while keeping the experience straightforward for both sides of the platform.

The Thinking

We treated the marketplace as two connected experiences rather than a traditional e-commerce store. Buyers wanted a clear path from finding products to requesting quotes, comparing pricing, and placing bulk orders. Meanwhile, suppliers needed the right tools to manage products, pricing, RFQs, and orders from one place.

The goal was to give each user role the information and actions they need without adding unnecessary complexity.

The Design

Buyer-Focused Marketplace

We structured product discovery around the needs of wholesale buyers. This made bulk purchasing, pricing, and supplier information easier to navigate.

RFQ Workflow

We designed a streamlined request for quotation flow that connects buyers with suppliers while keeping quote-related actions and information organized.

Dedicated Dashboards

Separate buyer and supplier dashboards give each side a focused workspace for managing their respective activities, from orders and quotes to products and pricing.

Connected Order Management

We brought key order-related information into a unified workflow. This helped users to move from purchasing decisions to order management without jumping between disconnected systems.

Enterprise-Grade Design System

A scalable design system established consistent components, patterns, and interactions across the marketplace. The system was then carried into custom development using Next.js.
