Prescriby helps patients understand addictive medications and the tapering-off process. But the information involved was complex and covered medication effects, tapering guidance, and potential risks. The challenge was to make this information easier to understand without oversimplifying it or overwhelming patients with dense medical content.
We approached the experience as an information-design problem. Patients wanted to understand quickly, know what matters, what to expect, and where potential risks exist without navigating heavy blocks of content.
This means creating a calmer visual hierarchy, breaking complex information into manageable sections, and using visual cues to support understanding.
